Most days (fewer in December), I embark on an exhilarating adventure with my dogs, who eagerly follow me as I kayak to my private swimming spot, just a mile away from home. After a decade of dedicated effort, I've transformed this secluded oasis into a perfect retreat where I can enjoy the soft sand beneath my feet and cool water surrounding me, all nestled within a beautiful wildlife reserve.
My kayak now has built-in Bluetooth speakers and lights, and sets the mood with music as I sip on a refreshing beer and splash around with the idiots. To ensure my water time isn't interrupted with chasing down a boat, I use a brushhook to securely tie my kayak to a tree stump in the chest-high water, allowing me to fully relax and enjoy the serene beauty of my little slice of paradise.
